Maps show the percent of days within the selected time period where transport to the destination selected (Arctic, Greenland, Seasonal Snow and Ice Cover) occurred from any of the selected starting heights. Time to (Destination) specifies a specific time window (starting at the trajectory release time) within which the trajectory reaches or crosses the Arctic Circle. Transport was modeled using the HYSPLIT model (Draxler 1996; Draxler and Hess, 1997) and the North American Regional Reanalysis (NARR) meteorological dataset where available and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP)-National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Global Reanalysis dataset elsewhere. Trajectories were released every 6 hours from the following heights 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 5000m above ground level (agl). Winter (DJF) is specified by the January/February year.
